Seven Hills seeks to position Beechwood College as the UK’s premier specialist residential college of further education for young people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Asperger’s Syndrome.

We have delivered its national art competition – Create! Art for Autism. The competition celebrated the creativity of young people with autism and highlighted the benefits of art in improving their quality of life.

During the media campaign, the art competition received coverage across the board in national, regional and specialist titles, including the BBC, The Guardian and the Times Educational Supplement.

The Create! campaign culminated in an awards ceremony at Beechwood College, which was followed by a tour of the finalists artwork, first at an exhibition in Cardiff and then in London in October.

Following a successful inaugural campaign, Seven Hills will continue to work with Beechwood on the competition in 2012, building on the achievements of this year’s competition to develop a wider reaching campaign.
