Tenner TycoonMake money, make a difference and give back
Tenner Tycoon, the nationwide competition to promote enterprise in schools was run by Enterprise UK and fronted by Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones. This year’s contest was the largest and most successful yet, with 365 schools taking part and 28,000 children involved.
Seven Hills spearheaded a new identity to refresh the brand and event format. The consultancy delivered new themes and platforms that drove nationwide media interest, political engagement, business involvement, and mostly importantly, record numbers of young people involved.
Seven Hills led the media campaign around Tenner Tycoon resulting in extensive media coverage including The Telegraph, The Guardian, Newsround and The Times.
Seven Hills authored a compelling report to coincide with the launch of Tenner Tycoon named Make Money, Make a Difference: Backing Britain’s Future, which included exclusive research from YouGovStone and provided an up-to-the-minute temperature check on young people’s attitudes to business in the UK.
Seven Hills also managed the high profile Tenner Tycoon awards ceremony held at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to celebrate the achievements of this year’s winners. The awards were attended by Peter Jones, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise Mark Prisk MP and a number of senior MPs.
Minister of State for Business and Enterprise Mark Prisk MP said in a keynote speech at the ceremony: "This has been the best year for Tenner Tycoon."
