Last night Mishcon de Reya hosted the inaugural gathering of its 2017 Leap 100 cohort. The 100 businesses – recognised for their fast growth – met with a wider network of Leap founders and alumni that includes BrewDog, Funding Circle, Unruly, Leon Restaurants, Loaf, Deliveroo, Fever Tree and DarkTrace.
Hosted by BBC’s Jo Coburn, guests heard the growth stories of founders, ambitious scaleups and funders. As part of The Founders Panel, Tom Blomfield, co-founder of Monzo Bank and Cat Gazzoli, founder of Piccolo, were joined by funders including GP Bullhound’s managing partner, Manish Madhvani and VentureFounder’s co-founder, James Codling to talk about starting up in saturated markets and the importance of finding the perfect funder-founder relationship.
