Michael Hayman, co-founder of Seven Hills, featured as a guest panelist at the launch event for the 2013 class of the New Entrepreneurs Foundation (NEF) last night.
The Foundation, which offers work placements with some of the UK’s leading entrepreneurs to 30 rising business stars each year, hosted the event at the Royal Over-Seas League in central London.
Michael, chairman of MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival and co-founder of StartUp Britain, took part in a lively panel discussion on the theme of “Entrepreneurship in the UK”.
He was joined by Oliver Pawle, former vice chairman of the Investment Banking Division of UBS; Lord Davies of Abersoch, vice chairman and partner at Corsair Capital; and Joe Cohen, founder and CEO of Seatwave. The panel was chaired by Neeta Patel, CEO of the NEF.
Themes for discussion included emerging trends in UK entrepreneurship, the challenges that entrepreneurs are facing, and how the NEF can help boost Britain’s enterprise culture.
The evening wrapped up with a Q&A session that allowed members of the audience, including the entire NEF Class of 2013, to engage with the panel on all things entrepreneurial.
