Seven Hills client and founder of Ella’s Kitchen, Paul Lindley, was crowned Entrepreneur of the Year at the City AM Business Awards yesterday.

In just six years Paul has created a highly successful organic baby food brand which trades in 12 countries and has a turnover of over £50m.

This is the third year City A.M. has held the awards ceremony which celebrates the best of British businesses. The Entrepreneur of the Year award looked to recognise individuals who have not only taken the initiative to venture out on their own, but also have been successful with their new enterprise and are now managing and growing a profitable business.

The winners were selected by an expert panel of judges including representatives from City A.M., Slaughter & May, Centrica and Goldman Sachs. Other shortlisted candidates included Nick Roberston of ASOS and Martin Lewis from MoneySavingExpert.

This announcement follows a stream of nominations Paul has earned including a National Business Award and Ernest & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011.
