MISSION

To introduce We Are The Oceans (WATO) to the global media, building the profile of its founder Daisy Kendrick and assisting in her vision to bring the oceans and their importance to the most connected generation in history.

CAMPAIGN

Seven Hills supported We Are The Oceans at the inaugural UN Ocean Conference in New York, where WATO hosted a number of events in partnership with United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). During the conference, Seven Hills arranged for media attendance at WATO events, and secured top-tier coverage including a Sky News interview, an opinion piece in in The Guardian and a feature for edie.net.

MOMENTUM

Since the UN Ocean Conference, Seven Hills has continued to build momentum with a high impact media campaign around the launch of ‘Island Nation Defence’, the second in a series of games designed by WATO to educate players on oceanic conservation, in a fun and shareable way. High profile interviews for Daisy Kendrick have been secured with BBC Business Live and Sky Swipe.

Seven Hills continues to support with upcoming WATO initiatives, including their presence at The Vans Warped Tour – the biggest music festival in the US, the ‘We Are The Oceans’ song – which has been recorded by Joss Stone, and The Last Straw – a campaign to encourage people to stop using plastic straws, which are highly damaging to marine life.
