Simply Business

simply business wins best company to work for second year in a row

On Thursday 25th February Simply Business, the UK’s largest business insurer, was once again named the Sunday Times Best Company to Work For, picking up the award for the second year in a row. CEO Jason Stockwood was also awarded the Best Leader for his tireless efforts to lead and develop Simply Business in to the company that it is today.

Simply Business places this impressive consecutive win down to their innovative and forward-thinking approach to HR. As well as championing increased maternity and paternity allowances and encouraging flexible and remote working, Simply Business have brought technology into the heart of their people management. From the gamification of training programmes to hosting regular hackatons, Simply Business has utilised that power of technology to ensure staff, customers and investors alike are satisfied.

Jason Stockwood, CEO of Simply Business comments: “When I joined Simply Business in 2010, I knew something very special could be achieved here. I saw its raw potential, all that it required was a bit of direction. It’s a fact of modern business that by investing in a happy, engaged workforce you’re also investing in your customers. Getting it right internally is good for everybody, including the SMEs buying our products.

This has only been possible by making every single member of the team feel empowered to achieve their full potential. I’m proud that Simply Business is the ‘Best Company to Work For’ for the second  year running and hope that our approach to people management will encourage other businesses to think harder about their employees’ satisfaction and wellbeing.”
