Mission

To champion Unilever as an organisation at the forefront of pioneering progressive policies shaping the future of work, and position Chief Human Resources Officer Leena Nair as an authentic, innovative leader committed to helping all of the company’s 150,000 employees find their purpose in the workplace.

Seven Hills also supported the inaugural Unilever Future of Work Summit. Curated by Unilever, in collaboration with McKinsey as knowledge partner – and with content partners including the World Economic Forum, One Young World and Generation Unlimited – the summit connected leaders, experts and academics from every corner of the world for a series of inspiring conversations about ideas that could pave the way to a better future of work for all.

Seven Hills’ role, in delivering the event, was to position Unilever as an organisation leading the conversation around one of the most urgent topics of our time: the future of work.

Campaign

Seven Hills worked with Leena and her team to identify high calibre media opportunities to share Unilever’s progressive messaging around the future of work, including the company’s commitments around upskilling employees, offering new employment models and expertise on wellbeing and D&I. Leena became a prominent spokesperson for the importance of employees feeling they were living their purpose at work, while also championing the importance of vulnerability as a quality of good leaders.

The Future of Work Summit created a platform to showcase the innovations Unilever is developing to disrupt – and improve – working models, and to connect a powerful network of change leaders; collaboration will lead to the best solutions to today’s challenges.

The Summit was a two-day virtual event, including speakers from Unilever, the World Economic Forum, McKinsey, WPP, One Young World, UNICEF, Walmart, Deloitte and KPMG. The conversations aimed to successfully transform ideas into action and collectively shape a roadmap for the future of work.

“In turbulent times, we truly have far more to gain from working together than as individuals. Let’s learn from one another and harness the creativity and unique ideas of individual businesses, governments and NGOs across the globe.” – Leena Nair

Momentum

Seven Hills ensured Leena was one of the most prominent voices on the Future of Work positioning her as an expert at the helm of one of the world’s most progressive organisations and a compassionate leader in times of great change.

The Future of Work Summit saw ten sessions held across two days, with 76 organisations represented from 30 countries. More than 4,000 guests registered to attend through Eventbrite and LinkedIn, and in total more than 27,000 viewed the Summit across platforms.

“By showing our own vulnerabilities and being transparent, we create a culture where people feel trusted, safe and secure.” – Leena Nair, Fortune, 2021
