Centrica hosted an early morning summit today as part of London Tech Week. ‘The Future of our Connected World Summit’ saw speakers from the public and private sector provide invaluable insight to an audience of 150 delegates about how technology will increasingly shape how we live, work and play.
The event was opened by Minister of State for Digital and Culture Matt Hancock, who shared the stage with Nina Bhatia, Managing Director of Connected Home. Nina shared Centrica’s vision for a connected world, presenting how technology and innovation can help us overcome many of the macro and micro challenges that society faces, while Matt outlined the UK government’s current plans surrounding technology and all things digital.
Guests also heard from Andrew Collinge, Smart City Leader, Greater London Authority; Caroline Makepeace, CEO of PUBLIC and Eileen Burbidge MBE, the UK government’s FinTech Envoy.
