finnCap launches Ambition Nation at the London Stock Exchange

finnCap CEO Sam Smith welcomed guests to the LSE’s Market Open ceremony this morning for the exclusive launch of the Ambition Nation campaign.

Building on the success of the AIM High conversation – which explored the alternative funding options available to fast-growth businesses – Ambition Nation aims to inspire, educate, and fuel growth for Britain’s most ambitious businesses.

Seven Hills co-founder Michael Hayman MBE took part in conversation with Angus Thirlwell, co-founder of the award-winning Hotel Chocolat; Faisel Rahman OBE, founder of revolutionary social enterprise, Fair Finance, and Jon Moulton, founding chairman of Better Capital LLP. Together they discussed the power of ambition and its role in driving the next generation of business leaders.

Reflecting on the current political climate, Angus Thirlwell left guests with thought-provoking words: “If your degree of ambition is determined by your outlook on Brexit then Brexit isn’t the problem, it’s your degree of ambition.”

The next step for the campaign is a visit to Manchester on 22 November, where finnCap will convene the city’s most dynamic companies to consider what ambition means to them.
