A panel of industry experts from technology, business, and academia convened at Plexal, Here East to discuss the future of frontier technologies – from AI and robotics to quantum computing. The event opened with an insightful roundtable discussion led by former Sky News and Bloomberg reporter, Sasha Qadri. Speakers from organisations including NVIDIA, Scale Up Institute, and the Department for Science, Innovaiton & Technology (DSIT) discussed the challenges and opportunities presented by frontier technologies, both current and future.
We also heard a standout keynote from Laura Citron OBE on the London Growth Plan and how the UK can spearhead global frontier innovation. This was followed by a panel featuring Tim Flagg, CEO and Co-founder, UKAI; Peter Crocker, CEO and co-founder, Oxford Semantic Technologies; and Angela Cross,UK Sales Director, Central Government and Defence at Dell Technologies. Dissecting the UK’s strengths and weaknesses, the panel explored how we can maximise our innovative potential and creative talent, cementing the UK’s role as a a global force in frontier technologies.
