LeapFrog Investments, the pioneer of profit-with-purpose investing, yesterday launched the private equity industry’s first dedicated talent development programme for the leaders of fast-growing emerging markets businesses.
The LeapFrog Talent Accelerator (LTA) was launched in partnership with Prudential Financial Inc. (PFI), one of the world’s largest financial institutions and the cornerstone investor in the programme, at London’s Sky Garden. The LTA seeks to enable emerging market firms to harness talent, and develop management and leadership skills to accelerate growth.
Seven Hills worked closely with LeapFrog and PFI to secure attendees drawn from publications including the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, The Daily Mail, and Private Equity International. They heard from Dr. Andy Kuper, founder and CEO of LeapFrog Investments, alongside the Talent Accelerator programme lead Vaughan Lindsay and Lata Reddy, Senior Vice President, Diversity, Inclusion & Impact at PFI.
The speakers delved into the current challenges and opportunities facing the growth of purpose-driven emerging markets teams, namely the critical lack of talent development programmes tailored for the rising economies of Africa and Asia.
LeapFrog estimates that in the programme’s first three years, it will develop 300 leaders and enable an incremental 50m USD in revenue and cost savings annually for participating companies.
In September, LeapFrog announced that its companies have reached 111 million people – marking a significant milestone for the impact investing industry and warranting Fortune to place the firm fifth in its annual Change the World rankings.
