city a.m. awards celebrate the best of london business

The City A.M. Awards, held last night at the Grange Hotel in central London, recognised 14 individuals or businesses for their achievements across categories that included Personality of the Year, Business of the Year and Investor of the Year.

At the awards, City A.M. partnered with law firm Mishcon de Reya for the Explosive Growth Award category, which is awarded to a member of The Leap 100. Hailing ‘an especially crucial and inspirational part of the modern British economy’, this year’s Explosive Growth winner was Cook, the hand-prepared frozen food business. Founded in 1997, Cook uses the same ingredients and techniques you would at home, it now has 85 shops nationwide and supplies more than 400 independent retailers.

Prodigy Finance, a client of Seven Hills, was nominated in two categories, Explosive Growth Company of the Year and Fintech Company of the Year.

Entrepreneur of the Year went to Hotel Chocolat co-founder Angus Thirlwell.
