Sam Layton

Senior Writer

Sam is an accomplished business writer with experience in corporate communications, speechwriting and journalism.

As senior writer, Sam plays a lead role within editorial and brand strategy. His experience includes writing issues-led speeches, opinion pieces and thought leadership reports for a range of high-profile political and business leaders. He has worked closely with many of our clients, including techUK, BGF and Sage Foundation.

Sam joined Seven Hills from the National Cyber Security Centre, where he was speechwriter to the CEO. Prior to this, he worked as speechwriter to the president and director general of the CBI. Before this, Sam worked at Cohn & Wolfe leading content campaigns for major technology brands, including Dell, Nokia and Lexmark. Prior to this, Sam was a business journalist at City AM.

Sam graduated from Queen Mary University in 2011 with a degree in English, before completing a postgraduate diploma in journalism at the Press Association.
