County Hall was the setting for finnCap’s second annual AIM High: The IPO Summit yesterday, as the UK’s most influential investors, advisers and entrepreneurs gathered to debate and discuss the Alternative Investment Market.
finnCap launched AIM High last year to start a conversation about the merits of a London listing and the opportunities AIM offers ambitious entrepreneurs looking to scale their business.
Attendees heard about the challenges facing UK scale-ups, as panels debated the health of the IPO market in the context of an imminent General Election and the start of the Brexit process.
Speakers included Tom Adeyoola of Metail, Sara Murray of Buddi and Ben Wilkinson from Draper Esprit. In addition, Angus Thirlwell, co-founder & CEO of Hotel Chocolat gave an account of his journey from conception to listing on AIM in 2016.
