The world of PR is ever-changing, and today Seven Hills team was lucky enough to get an insight into how to make the most of the transformation from data and metrics expert Thane Ryland.

Thane is a social media and measurement specialist who has held roles at Patagonia, Shell and Microsoft. In the latest edition of the Seven Hills Academy series, he spoke about how declining citizen trust combined with increased availability of information presents fresh opportunities and challenges for the PR industry. 

Thane assured us that print is definitely not dead and that brand interactions will evolve as consumers develop an acute taste for technology like voice recognition. The session rounded out with a reminder that most people will not lose their jobs to robots anytime soon – but they are likely to lose them to other people who use robots better.
