Nick Giles and Chris Goldblatt

staying true: why authenticity rules in business

Seven Hills co-founder Nick Giles joined Craig Goldblatt to discuss authenticity in business. The interview, which features on Authenticity Rules, is part of a series of conversations between Craig Goldblatt and business leaders exploring the topic.

Drawing on his experience with Seven Hills, Nick proposed that authentic firms are those that are “true to an issue and an idea, which they build their proposition around”. Nick used the examples of Seven Hills’ clients Paul Lindley and Edwina Dunn and Clive Humby, to demonstrate how a founder’s passion and strong a sense of mission and purpose is often a guiding start for building an authentic business. Nick also stressed that it was authentic businesses, connecting both with their employees and their customers, that were successful.

From his new business book, ‘MISSION: How the Best in Business Break Through’, to his work supporting Britain’s most explosive growth companies and leading entrepreneurs, Nick outlined how his professional experiences have impacted him.
