The third installment of Tech London Advocates (TLA) and Global Tech Advocates’ Investor Showcase took place at Here East in the Olympic Park, with a focus on the single biggest issue facing our planet – climate change.
Hosted by Oli Barrett MBE and TLA founder Russ Shaw CBE – supported by a full production crew and Seven Hills team in the wings – the hybrid event brought together key investors and tech innovators in person in East London and virtually across Europe.
Panel sessions covered a broad range of topics, from investment opportunities in the green revolution to insights from around Europe into start-up and scale-up net zero innovation.
Highlights included a lively ‘Measurement & Data’ panel with Cambridge University’s Professor Steve Evans and TLA Circular Economy’s Rosario Di Dio; emphasising that point that we “cannot manage what we cannot measure”.
The event also saw keynote addresses on the hidden opportunities for sustainable tech across Europe from Lakestar’s Steven Nundy, and the state of ESG investment in the UK from Beauhurst’s Henry Whorwood.
The event, which attracted more than 1,000 online viewers streaming live on YouTube, Twitter and Clubhouse, was another important step in ensuring sustainability and green solutions remain firmly on the tech ecosystem’s agenda as we work towards a net zero future.
