Singer Ellie Goulding, campaigner Dame Jane Goodall, musician Sir Bob Geldof and former Prime Minister Sir John Major were amongst the leaders who took to the stage for day two of the One Young World 2019 summit in London today.
Following Tuesday’s spectacular opening ceremony featuring returning One Young World counsellor, HRH The Duchess of Sussex, speakers from around the world addressed issues from climate change to human rights to a room filled with 2,000 young leaders.
The day kicked off with former Unilever CEO Paul Polman on BBC News talking about his role as a counsellor for One Young World and finished with Sir John Major presenting One Young World’s Politician of the Year winners; Juan Guaido, Mbali Ntuli, Thordis Gylfadottir, Herve Berville and Magid Magid.
