On Thursday, VentureFounders hosted Scale Up Series: Talent, an exclusive event that addressed the need for scale-up businesses in the UK to source and retain world-class talent.
Held at The Bulgari Hotel in central London, speakers shared their views of the impact of Brexit on the talent pool in the UK; what scaling businesses require from their people to keep growing and how organisations can retain the best in the competitive battle for talent.
VentureFounders partnered with Metro Bank for the event and Simon Calver, partner at BGF Ventures, the £200m investment vehicle supporting the UK’s best and brightest tech founders, was the keynote speaker.
Other speakers on the line-up included:
Lord Flight, non-executive director, Metro Bank
Emma Cerrone, co-founder & partner, Freeformers
Dr David Tuch, founder & CEO, Lightpoint Medical
Nick Walters, founder & CEO, Hopster
In September, the third instalment of the Scale Up Series will take place with a focus on finance. Scale Up Series: Finance will consider the global investment landscape today and how it can support scale-up businesses in the UK to reach their full potential.
